Pastor Mbasekei Ayomobi
For over three decades, Pastor Mbasekei Ayomobi has walked the path of a seasoned prophetic psalmist with an emphasis on divine intimacy and the revelation of God’s glory. As a recording artist and devoted pastor, he inspires hearts through anointed music and the ministry of the word in a way that counters the apostate drifts of contemporary culture.
He recorded his debut album, Serenade, in 2002, made a sophomore effort in 2006 with the album Devoted, and the third in 2018, called Forever. His new album recording, Mbasekei Live in Houston, is undisputably his defining work till date. It is a nine-tracker of richly poetic and emotive lyrics blending with soul-stirring melodies that compel worship and praise to the One who inspired it all.
His soulful voice with its sweet gravelly tinge does nothing but convey the urgency of divine glory and beauty. And the music? Classy contemporary gospel, soulful, neat and jazzy all at once, with a clear theme of surrender and devotion.
Mbasekei’s music is contemplative yet celebratory; it is intimate and worshipful. You don’t listen to Mbasekei without getting captivated by the presence of the God he sings about.
He is the pastor of LatterHouse Int’l, a prophetic teaching ministry located in Ellicott City, a suburb in the Washington DC/Baltimore area of the United States.
Worship services at LatterHouse Int’l are often with supernatural experiences of revival, renewal and reformation. As you can imagine, the presence of God comes through heavily via a customary focus on authentic and intimate expressions of worship; and the anointed word is delivered with a high fidelity to truth and excellence, where transformation is always the goal.
Pastor Mbasekei particularly encourages a return to biblical manhood by working with other ministers to convene the Men in Christ Prayer Breakfasts and Conferences; this is a ministry dedicated to calling men to live and lead like Christ.
Pastor Mbasekei is also a published author of two books: Sing, O Barren and Real Worship Anyone? His ministry also includes an itinerary of engagements to minister as a conference speaker, facilitator, preacher, and psalmist.
He resides in Maryland, USA, with his co-pastor wife, Helen, who is a lavishly ardent worship leader and minister in her own right.
